Our Ministries

Men’s Ministry

The objectives of the Evangelistic Centre Men’s Ministry Department is to disciple and equip all men in their roles as men of God according to the teachings laid out in Ephesians 5:22-33.

We seek to provide an avenue for modelling the life of Christ to men, through teaching, fellowship, and service. In so doing we provide opportunities for fostering spiritual friendships and developing relationships, so that men can grow in conformity to Christ, specifically in their roles as men.

Our purpose as a ministry is to:

  1. Win men to Christ
  2. Encourage the development of men towards spiritual maturity and Christ-like character
  3. Encourage the participation of men in all appropriate ministries of the Assembly
  4. Encourage men to support the pastoral leadership and all ministries of the assembly.
  5. Train men in personal witnessing and mentoring of the younger men within the assembly.
  6. Coordinate and facilitate the involvement of men in voluntary assistance programs.
  7. Encourage support of world missions.

Women’s Ministry

Rebranded: Women Empowerment (WE) Ministry
Women Empowerment (WE) Ministry of Evangelistic Centre, usually called WE Ministry, is geared at fostering a deeper relationship with Christ as well as catering to the holistic wellbeing of all females. This ministry engages women in activities such as panel discussions, health walks, and prayer breakfasts. Additionally, there are sessions for younger ladies which encourage them to rise above the challenges of the present world, as well as sessions for those preparing for marriage. Through these WE also add to the overall development of the church.

Our vision is that older women will teach the younger women to become good role models in every area of their lives as stipulated in Titus 2:3-4, thus creating an avenue for generational transfer. All women are welcomed to WE Ministry activities.

Our overarching objectives are to:

  1. Win other women to Christ
  2. Encourage fervent and effectual prayer among the women of the fellowship.
  3. Coordinate and facilitate ministries involving women responding to the spiritual, social, and other needs in the assemblies and communities.
  4. Train women for effective outreach and ministry in their assemblies, communities and elsewhere.
  5. Encourage support of world missions within the fellowship.
  6. Train women in personal witnessing and mentoring of the younger women within the assembly.

Youth Ministry

Rebranded: R2G (Reaching God and Reaching mankind in this Generation)

R2G is the youth arm of the Evangelistic Centre, Market Hill, St. George Grenada.

Our Mission is to cultivate in young people, strong Christian values and a quality relationship with Christ and others, strategically building and equipping them for life and service to God. This is achieved through engagements involving God’s word, social events and self-building activities which prepare them for secular life. Activities include youth relevant sessions (occasionally from invited guests), our ‘Blanket moment’ (a guided outdoor discussion), game nights, recreational activities (fishing, kite flying, hike etc.), visitation to other youth ministries and many more.

Our vision for the youth is to aid them in discovering the joy of Godly living and meaningful relationships, engaging them through spiritual, social, educational and physical initiatives. We believe that Christianity is beneficial and can be enjoyed while we are young, allowing God to use us as good examples.

Christian Education Department

The Mission of the Christian Education Department is to meet the holistic needs of the children, by discipling them to be empowered for Christian service and to be confident of who they are in Christ. The Department operates from the building adjacent to the main Church building; frequently called the “Annex Building”.

We cater for kids ranging from 4 – 11 years.  The following classes are available:

NURSERY:     4 – 6               (Teacher: Sis. Smith)
PRIMARY:      7 – 9               (Teacher: Sis. Francois assisted by Sis. Jeremiah)
JUNIOR:         10 – 11           (Teacher: Sis. Adams assisted by Sis. Paterson)

There are currently six (6) members on staff; three (3) Teachers with three (3) Assistants.  The Department is led by Sis Paterson with assistance from Sis. Adams and Sis. Francois, who is the Secretary.  Sis. Jeremiah, Sis. Smith and Bro. Francois are Floor members with special responsibilities.

Sunday School commences at 8:00 a.m. weekly, concurrent with morning service at the main sanctuary.  On special occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter Sunday, and Christmas etc., the staff and children join with the congregation at the main sanctuary.

We engage in ministry of the Word which takes on an evangelistic approach.  We use different mediums including electronics, drama and craft to engage the kids and to ensure they fully grasp the precepts taught.  We also engage in mini training sessions on evangelism for those who made decisions to follow Christ. When there is a fifth (5th) Sunday, we engage in expression of talents.

We encourage parents/well-wishers to pray for the students and teachers of the Department. We can also be supported through the donation of time and resources for procuring stationery, refreshments and other materials required on a weekly basis.

God Bless You!

The Benevolent Ministry gives assistance to the less fortunate in a wholistic manner.  Persons are being provided for physically, spiritually and emotionally as a visible testimony reflecting the love of Jesus Christ. In pursuit of its responsibility, this ministry will execute its mandate in a manner that reflects Evangelistic Centre’s Mission and ultimately fulfill the commission of the Bible [Proverbs 19:17]

We cater for believers within our assembly, believers within other assemblies and the public in general during emergencies or on short-term or long-term basis as the need arises. The department assists by providing food and clothing, supplying breakfast to the homeless, janitorial services, medical assistance, organizing outings for the shut ins, and lending spiritual support and encouragement among other things.

The Benevolent Ministry is able to function thanks to fundraisers, contribution from members, contribution from Evangelistic Centre and other entities that embrace the Mission of the Benevolent Ministry.
